Boston & Providence 2011

The week of June 20th or so is almost always "vacation week" for Randy, his family, and me. This year was a bit different, and Randy and I had our vacation just the two of us. We have both wanted to go to Boston for a while, so that was the plan. To help with costs, we camped in Middleboro, MA, which ended up working out well because it put us nicely between Boston, MA and Providence, RI. We spent three days in Boston, taking the local subway system each day (the T). It was very convenient, cheap, and easy, so we loved it! Our days in Boston included: walking the whole "Freedom Trail", touring Fenway Park, walking around the Back Bay and Beacon Hill areas, grabbing lunch at the oldest tavern in America, sampling some Texas BBQ at a BBQ fest and taking a tour of the Samuel Adams Boston Brewery! We spent one day in Providence walking around downtown, Federal Hill (where we went to DePasquale Square!) and eating and drinking at a local brewery!
